The Ford Company is bringing a new rival for Vauxhall Astra, Renault Megane and Volkswagen Golf in the market. Yes! It is the new 2018 Ford Focus Mk4. This new fourth generation model of the Ford Focus was spied during the testing session. Although it was heavily camouflaged, however, we have got some sneak peak to be discussed here.
2018 Ford Focus Mk4 Exterior
It is expected that the new 2018 Focus Mk4 will be having the same architectural infrastructure like its predecessor with the redesigned skin. As the previous model catered large square headlights, it is anticipated that the 2018’s Ford MK4 will be having some sleek designed rounded headlights. Even with heavy camouflaged, it is visible that the new Focus is wider and longer than its predecessor. The air intakes and the front grille is also revised with chrome trim. A prominent line can be spotted at the rear and front bumpers followed towards the rear wheel arches and on the roof top. The new model will come up with raised suspension and enhanced handling. It is expected that the Mk4 will also shed some weight with high tensile steel to be used in the car’s frame.

Ford Focus Mk4 2018 Interior
The exterior shows a wider and longer body, which is indicating more spacious cabin. There will be plenty of head and legroom for all passengers in the new model than its predecessor. Spy shots are indicating that the newly designed center console and dashboard are inspired by the 2017’s model of Ford Fiesta. On the left side of the instrument cluster feature the basic HVAC and rev controls. As all new Ford cars have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, so you can also enjoy the smartphone connectivity in the new Ford Focus Mk4 2018. Keeping Ford Fiesta’s features in mind, we can expect the new Ford Focus Mk4 to have an 8 inches infotainment screen along with features like Hill Start Assist and Advance Trac Stability Control.

There is not much information revealed regarding the engine of the 2018 Ford Focus Mk4. However, as we all know that Ford is famous for its handling capabilities, so we can expect that the new Ford hatch will be having an ‘Eco boost’ a three cylinder, 1.0 liters turbocharged petrol engine. Three different power options (99 bhp, 123 bhp and 138 bhp) can be offered with the new Ford Mk4 model. It is also anticipated that the Ford Focus team can even bring 1.5 and 2.0-liter units for their diesel fans.
Price and Release Date
The 2018 Ford Focus Mk4 is expected to arrive at the dealers in 2018. Pricing will depend on the trim levels. However, the base model’s estimated cost could be around £19,000 and the higher trim levels will be costing more than that.
