The Nissan Qashqai model was first produced in 2006 and has since gone on to claim its spot as among the best-selling SUVs in the automobile industry. With gradual modifications to its initial design, the Qashqai has remained a consistent customer favorite when it comes to Nissan SUVs. The 2018 Nissan Qashqai is expected to have strategic changes in its design and with a facelift highly likely. However, not much is anticipated in terms of engine changes as Nissan are keen to maintain their successful formula with the Qashqai. The suspension system is likely to change to get rid of the rigid feel that is common in the outgoing model, especially when driving offroad.
Nissan Qashqai 2018 facelift
Expect new c-shaped headlights accompanied by a slightly modified grille to give the Qashqai a modern outlook. Massive changes to the Qashqai`s appearance are highly unlikely since most Nissan Qashqai lovers adore the current shape and design. However, based on the mule spy shots, the C and D pillars will be slightly larger than those of the outgoing model. Similar to the Rogue model (American Version of the Qashqai), the new 2018 Nissan Qashqai will have a slightly exaggerated extension along the D-pillar. This will help create a classy semi-sporty outlook that will highlight the compactness of the crossover.

Not much has been revealed about the Qashqai`s exterior but one thing is bound to make all Qashqai/ rogue fanatics excited, the car comes with an extended panoramic sunroof. This gives incredible view when driving while keeping the reflection outside the cabin to avoid disrupting driving. The tail lights will not change much as they are likely to maintain the fading c-design present in all the post-2013 Qashqai`s. Wheels will be 18 and 19-inch aluminum alloy(optional). There are two new colors, Vivid Blue and Chestnut Bronze.
2018 Nissan Qashqai Interior
Nissan has been anything but shy when describing its Qashqai concept. First off, a semi-automatic cruise control system is expected to be among the major technological tweaks in the 2018 Qashqai edition. The cruise control system will help increase safety while enhancing ease of use and comfort as well. The updated cruise control system in the model is expected to have increased capabilities than that used in the outgoing Qashqai. Among the key features of the cruise control system will be an active lane monitoring system that will help prevent the occurrence of avoidable traffic and pedestrian accidents; this will be achieved through auto braking and safety enhancement systems.
Driving technology, safety:
– Intelligent Emergency Braking + Pedestrian Recognition,
– Rear Cross Traffic Alert,

Expect more space inside the cabin with the front seats capable of inclining up to an impressive 130 degrees to enable proper viewing through the sunroof when the car is still. The dashboard is expected to be user-friendly with limited controls and an attractive LED display centrally placed within the dash. Also, we expect the Nissan Qashqai 2018 to borrow from the Nissan Murano`s and utilize a sloped roof design to give the Qashqai an aggressive appearance to suit its compact size.
Not much change is expected when it comes to the 2018 Nissan Qashqai engine as it is likely to retain both the capable 1.6-liter engine and the 1.2-liter turbocharged engine. When it comes to transmission, the 1.6-liter will have an auto CVT gearbox while the 1.2-liter engine of the new model will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 1.2-liter engine will be capable of producing 129 ponies as well as around 236 lb-ft of torque. The superior 1.6-liter engine will offer 177 lb-ft of torque while managing 161 ponies. This makes the crossover reliable for both highway and off-road travel. However, slight tweaks are expected on the transmission to address the rigidity issue that most users, especially of the outgoing model have when it comes to off-road travel. The last engine is diesel option 1.5-litre dCi with 110 ponies.
