The January 9 Detroit International Auto Show was nothing short of a revelation of what to expect in the future. Renowned automobile giants went head to head in showcasing various futuristic designs and modifications from initial models. The 2018 Lexus LS 500 is a perfect example of a futuristic, luxury vehicle with a sleek, classy appearance that appeals to almost any sedan-adoring eye. Toyota`s luxury manufacturing wing, the Lexus branch, earlier on in the year reiterated its intent of enhancing comfort, performance, and usability all at once in their 2018 LS 500 model
2018 Lexus LS 500 Exterior
Ask any critic, expert or car enthusiast about the most conspicuous installation in the 2018 Lexus LS 500 and the first and the most likely answer will be the front grille. Although grilles never lack in Lexus designs, the patterns present in the 2018 model are more intricate as they offer a sleek, and most importantly-classy outlook bound to impress the user. The Z pattern in the grille and headlights are slight modifications to the appearance of the outgoing LS model.
The luxurious Sedan, as we anticipated, comes with a longer, sharper and lower design (great news for comfort lovers). The longer design gives the LS500 a slightly strange un-Lexus appearance which when combined with an impressive wheelbase, guarantees uncompromising comfort. Due to the larger length, it was important that the Lexus engineers selected low-weight materials to avoid reducing performance due to weight. This prompted the Lexus engineers to use both aluminum and high-tensile steel to carve out the mean luxury vehicle. Wheels are the aluminum alloy in two sizes, 19-inches, and 20-inches (three choices).
Dimensions: length is 206 inches, wheelbase is 123 inches, height is 57.1 inches and width is 74.8 Inches.

New Lexus LS 500 2018 Interior
Enter the 2018 Lexus cabin, and you will notice the neatly designed dash with alphabetically and numerically arranged controls for increased usability and a super HD 12.4-inch display for swift navigation. The new LS has a super deluxe interior made of traditional Japanese woodwork blended into the fine laser technology art along the doors and beside the sunroof. Space is not a concern with this model as all seats have increased space with the driver cockpit having necessary compact adjustment and a fully digital LED gauge.
The interior is characterized by its impressive sound control system. The sound control system is a feature that enhances comfort inside the sedan by suppressing the engine noise and other sources of noise for quiet and peaceful cruising. The new sound control system is by far superior to that in initial LS models. In addition to the 12.3-inch display, the luxury vehicle comes with an optional, 24-inch, heads-up display (HUD) screen that can be used to display a variety of details including videos.
Luxury cars are primarily meant for comfort and high-end features that attempt to enhance usability. This means that year in year out, manufacturers such as Lexus must dig deep and produce models matching the industry`s initially set benchmarks. The new Lexus seats are out of this world—they offer massage, cooling, and heating features(including the passenger seats). The rear seats are well spaced, with keen attention given to comfort and usability as can be seen when analyzing the legroom. Not only are the rear seats spaced and capable of massaging functions, but they can also be reclined up to an incredible 48 degrees and similarly raised to 24 degrees to ease entry and exit of passengers.

The new Lexus LS500 2018 also comes with safety enhancement systems that are integrated into the primary controls. This helps reduce the occurrence of avoidable accidents such as pedestrian accidents by the emergency cruising feature when the car`s controls prevent an accident from occurring by safely navigating across lanes or a flexible emergency braking system that won’t compromise the safety of the driver or passengers. Interior colors: Brown Sunburst Myrtle, Black Piano Lacquer, Metallized Ash and Black Poplar. Safety features with driver support known for now are Active Steering within the lane and Intuitive Pedestrian Detection.
Performance is guaranteed when it comes to the 2018 LS edition as it brags of a neat 3.5-liter twin turbo V6 engine. This gives the LS engine the ability to produce V8 power but at improved fuel economy levels (impressive). The sedan can manage an impressive 60 mph in 4.5 seconds despite its relatively large size, top speed is 160 mph.
With the engine capable of producing 415 ponies and 442lb-ft of torque offered by the twin turbos, the 2018 Lexus LS 500 has a high-performing, powerful engine that makes it a perfect cruise for the highway. The transmission will be 10-speed automatic.
