2017 Ford GT Exterior design

The exterior design of the next gen GT model will be very similar to the exterior design of the previous GT40 model. Some changes are provided of course, and one change is, for example, the chassis of this model. This model will have extremely light chassis, and that will be very useful for the performance of the engine. The entire chassis will be made from a carbon-fiber body, front and rear sub-frames from an aluminum. This new model will also feature pushrod suspension as well as carbon-ceramic brakes. The future model will also feature signature sloped GT nose that will have dual channels in the front. That will make this model even more aggressive than the previous one.

The rear side of this model is maybe even nicer than the front side. At the back, 2017 GT will feature crisp cuts near the taillights, round hips as well as a canon exhaust type. This model is wider, with cabin tucked inside that makes it more aerodynamic than the previous model. All the lighting on the vehicle will most likely use the newest generation of LED technology. In order to cut drag and to improve visibility, this coupe will have sloped windshield. At the sides, this model will ride on 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels or on 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum depending on your choice. Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2.

Ford GT 2017 Interior design

This model has a two-seat cockpit, and it will have nicely designed upward-swinging doors. The front seats will be connected to the carbon fiber passenger cell(fixed seating position). The anticipated 2017 Ford GT will have an F1-inspired steering wheel. This steering wheel will feature necessary driver controls as well as paddle shifters just behind the wheel. Also, just like in the every supercar, this model will have pedals and wheel that will be configurable to provide different driver setups. The instrument cluster of this model will be most likely fully digital and it will show driver important information. We don’t know for sure, but some rumors suggest that the interior will have infotainment system. The word is about the recently updated Sync 3 infotainment setup.

Engine and Performance
Beneath the hood, we can expect one change compared to the previous model. Instead of supercharged V-8 engine, this model will use Ford’s next-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 twin-turbocharged engine. According to Ford, this new engine will have a capability of generating more than 600 horsepower. This is the strongest Ecoboost engine ever from Ford. Unfortunately, there is no information about the max torque, but as soon as Ford announce some data, we will let you know. This newly engine will be mated to a seven-speed, dual clutch transaxle system. The power will be transferred to all wheels of course. Some rumors suggest that we can expect manual transmission system, but unfortunately, that is not true. When it comes to top speed, this model will most likely have a top speed of around 200 mph (more or less). Also, the acceleration from 0-60 mph will be less than four seconds.
