2019 Subaru Tribeca spied while testing

The Tribeca from Subaru is a medium-sized sport utility vehicle, which was launched for the first time in 2005. The model carried a different name in some automotive markets and it was sold with the name, Subaru B9 Tribeca. The term Tribeca in its name is based on the name of a locality in New York, which is called as Tribeca. The model was constructed on the Legacy platform of the company with both five-seat and seven-seat cabin. The 2019 Subaru Tribeca is the revamped adoption of the current model that is expected to come with the same specifications and features. One thing is for sure, it will have 3-row seating, this time to five seats, only 7 or 8. However, there may be some modern tweaks here and there to make it appear more modern and to compete resourcefully with its class competitors. The new model Tribeca will be constructed at the Lafayette plant of Subaru, located in Indiana.

2019 Subaru Tribeca Exterior

The automaker has not yet revealed the external specs of new Subaru Tribeca 2019. However, it is definite known that the model will be constructed on the company’s global platform, which was introduced in this year at latest Impreza. This platform is of a modular type and so it offers the new Tribeca an extended wheelbase. The platform also offers a more interior space to the vehicle to accommodate the third-row seat in the cabin.

The front part of the new SUV comes equipped with triangle-shaped headlamps, which offers it a sharper front look. It is also outfitted with a three-slat grille, similar to that of Subaru Outback. Furthermore, it gets a bigger air intake that is extended towards the base of the front part of the vehicle again like that of in the Outback.

Around back, the new vehicle comes equipped with a redesigned bumper and the square-shaped taillights, which are designed with the LED technology similar to the ones in the Forester. It also comes outfitted with a rear double exhaust system.
The new model will be constructed with the body length of 191.5 inches with the wheelbase length of 108.2 inches.
The overall external profile of the 2019 SUV model shows that it will come with the same size as that of outgoing Tribeca, or new Explorer(see images).

Subaru Tribeca 2019 Interior

The interior of the 2019 Subaru Tribeca will come with a flawless design, as the automaker has resolved all the issues found in the outgoing model. As a result, it comes with an improved cabin with notable features similar to those of the Impreza. This time, the third-row seats are designed to offer a comfortable sitting place for adults, rather than a penalty corner for children in the earlier model. The lengthy body and the extended wheelbase offer the cabin of the new vehicle a more interior space.

Although the factory has not yet confirmed the engine numbers of the new Subaru Tribeca 2019. From reliable sources, seems like that should come equipped with a six-cylinder power unit with the capacity of 3.6 liters(boxer engine). This will be finely adjusted to offer the vehicle the essential power of 256 HP. It is expected that the new Tribeca will be offered with a CVT-continuously variable transmission system with the all-wheel drive systems standard. According to rumors, there should be another turbocharged boxer power unit with the capacity of 2.0 liters. If the rumor becomes real, the new vehicle will get more power and it will offer better fuel economy, as well.

Base price and the date of release

The release date of 2019 Subaru Tribeca is still a mystery, but it is expected that it may be available for sale during the last quarter of 2017 or first quarter of 2018. It is expected that Subaru will announce its price at the time of the release of the vehicle.
