The first model of Quattroporte was introduced to the market in 1963 by Maserati, the renowned Italian auto manufacturer. This is a four-door sports extravagance saloon that has so far come across six generations and the current model of this saloon was introduced in 2013 as a 2014 model year vehicle. Maserati is going to bring in the revamped version of this model for the model year 2018 with the name, 2018 Maserati Quattroporte. For the model year 2018, the new sedan comes with minor interior and exterior changes according to the expectations of modern day buyers.
2018 Maserati Quattroporte Changes
The external part of the 2018 Quattroporte would get some noticeable minor tweaks in its front part. The front fascia of the new vehicle comes equipped with a redesigned grille and bumper. The grille, which is similar to that of the 2017 model Levante sport-utility vehicle, offers an aggressive front look. The automaker is anticipated to offer countless alloy inspiring rim patterns, together with new body colors for its 2018 model four-door Quattroporte. The new model sedan features an extremely athletic look because it features overwhelming modern curves on its external body edges.

Around back, the new sedan does not experience much modification, as it comes equipped with the same well-designed taillights and rectangular-twisted quad tailpipes with attractive accents. Also, it will be lightweight when compared to its predecessor due to the liberal use of carbon fiber for its body construction.
The new model Quattroporte comes equipped with the self-regulating dual wishbone suspensions in the front and self-governing multi-link suspensions at the back.
Maserati Quattroporte 2018 Interior
The interior of the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte also gets some minor changes, particularly in its equipment section. This time, the new sedan comes with a more comfortable and luxurious cabin. The cabin of the new vehicle will be more spacious to accommodate a maximum of five people in a comfortable way. There may be some notable updates in the equipment section. Accordingly, the cabin comes outfitted with an infotainment system with a bigger screen than that of the earlier model. Although it is not yet confirmed by the automaker, the bigger screen could be intended for the new Android-derived infotainment system of Google, previewed lately in the Maserati Ghibli sedan.

The cabin comes equipped with the leather-wrapped dashboard, mounted with an LCD touch-screen of size 8.4 inches, the seat heaters, interior climate, a navigation system, satellite radio, a variety of driving modes, etc. For entertainment to passengers, the new sedan comes equipped with the amazing sound system. It also comes outfitted with heated seats and back power shades and all the seats will be upholstered in premium leather.
It is not still sure what types of powertrains should be offered by the automaker to the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte. However, it is expected that it should come equip with the same power units used in the earlier model, but with some minor improvements in the performance and in the fuel saving. Consequently, the new vehicle will be offered with two engine options.
The first optional power plant will be a V6, twin-turbocharged unit with the displacement of 3.0 liters. This gives the power of 404 ponies and a maximum torque of 406 lbs per foot. The engine accelerates the vehicle to a speed from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with the top speed of 176 mph.

The next optional powertrain will be the V8 twin-turbocharged unit with the capacity of 3.8 liters. This powertrain will offer the new vehicle the essential power of 530 ponies.
The new vehicle also comes with the same transmission system, similar to that of the current model, which could be an eight-velocity mechanical transmission system. The new vehicle also comes with the all-wheel-drive system as standard.
Date of release and price
The new Maserati Quattroporte 2018 is expected to hit the dealerships for sale during late 2017 or early 2018. Although the price is not yet confirmed, the starting price will definitely be more than that of the current model, which is available in the price range $101,700 – $159,900.
