The first that will power the new vehicle will be a T5 turbocharged unit that offers the wagon the required power and torque of 254 ponies @ 5,500 rpm and 258 pounds per foot respectively @ 1,500 rpm. This engine should go from 0-60 mph 7.4 seconds with top speed of 143 mph, fuel consumption is very good, only 32 mpg combined.
The second powertrain will be a supercharged and turbocharged powertrain with the capacity of 2.0 liters. However it is the slower machine with a top speed of 130 mph, and puls “only” 8.8 seconds from 0-60 mph. But there are stronger diesel options, with 235 ponies and torque of 354 pound-feet. this one goes from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds and it is faster, 143 mph. Fuel consumption is still very god, only 44 mpg.
The last powertrain option will be a T8 hybrid variant, which is a blend of a turbocharger and supercharger traditional unit with four cylinders and an electric motor to offer the new wagon a combined power and torque outputs of 400 ponies and 427 pounds per foot respectively. All engines will be mated to the only available eight-velocity mechanical transmission system.
Base price and the date of release
The date of release of the 2018 V90 Cross Country during the first half of 2017 in the worldwide market, but US buyers have to wait until late 2017 or early 2018 to procure the new vehicle. Regarding pricing, the estimated starting price of the new wagon would range from $55,000 to $60,000.
